Here’s what the project involves
Every day for 31 days I will send you a short email with a link to an post. The post will contain two things:
- A task for the day
- Some brief teaching to help you implement the task
The idea is simple. By the end of the 31 days you’ll have learned 31 aspects of blogging and put them into practice. It is designed not only to fill your head with knowledge ABOUT blogging but give you some concrete things to do to actually DO something with the knowledge.
According to the statistics, there are over 9100 bloggers participating, all hoping to gain more knowledge and expertise from one of the top bloggers on the internet today, Darren Rowse.
In case you are not familiar with Darren, he started blogging in 2002, way before it became the 'thing' to do. He began writing about pop culture, issues, and other things that interested him. As he states on his About page:
" I learnt(sic) so much from the experience of that blog that I’ve since started many other blogs."
His passion for blogging went from a part time job, then a hobby, to currently a full fledged business. Needless to say, he earns a living from blogging.
Darren's blog, ProBlogger, was one of the first professional blogs I began following. Mainly because I adored his style of writing, as well as his willingness to share his knowledge with his readers. There are often complaints about pro-bloggers as being untouchable, or unresponsive.
Not Darren. His 31 Days To Build A Better Blog is evidence of that. He's giving a blogger like myself an opportunity to grow and obtain the same greatness he has obtained, for no charge.
Yeah, it's free folks.
The first day of the challenge was to write a 100-150 word 'elevator speech.' I knew what an elevator speech was, having perfected it when I was an account manager in radio. So I figured, it would be simple to accomplish for a blog.
Not so.
The difference is, I have to talk about what my blog is about. And when I remembered when I first started my blog, I realized, I have strayed. This is a good wake up call.
I won't share my elevator speech here, only give you a couple of hints in the form of bullet points:
- HBS blog is about sharing with my readers the same tools I use to make money online. Ranging from how I build my list, to lead generation and why having a responsive list is the key to financial success. In addition, I provide tips on CPA program success, and which ones of those programs pay well and how I make my money using them. HBS is all about making money online using repetition, persistence and social networking skills.
Keep up with me in my quest to build a better blog right here on Home Business Success (HBS).
