How To Get More Twitter Followers

In network marketing we spend a lot of time on Twitter, trying to convince people to visit your site or buy our product. Have you noticed that convincing people to visit your site is difficult? And it is very time consuming. Perhaps there is an easier way to get more Twitter followers.

If you are familiar with basic marketing concepts and principles you'll know that marketing is about finding the people who are already looking for you. Whatever product or service you have holds value to many people, and they are seeking to find it. Now its just a matter of you coming up with a creative way to get their attention.

Writing clever ad messages that spark curiosity will always deliver traffic. Why? Because by nature human beings are curious, we want to know 'whats around the corner.' So, the question becomes, do you automate your tweets to maximum benefit, or do you tweet when you feel the need?

It really depends upon you. I have nothing against auto tweeting, personally I prefer to tweet when I feel it. Spontaneity is what makes Twitter so much fun to use. The ability to jump in conversations when you have something of value to offer is a coffee shop quirk I like. You should allow the conversation to lend you an opportunity to provide your offer or link. Don't just throw it in. Remember this, lead with a conversation on Twitter and your followers will grow.

Occasionally, I'll run across an article, picture, etc., that I share with my followers, just to get their opinions. This is known as a conversation starter. On Twitter you can elect to start conversations or not. Whatever I choose to share, I try to share things of interest. Odd news or pictures are always worthy conversation starters for Twitter.

There is another way to start a conversation on Twitter. That is to find out what is hot and tweet about it. Using the keywords to the hot topic, you can begin a conversation that could lead to increased followers, or just good conversation. Use Twist, to determine hot trends on Twitter. Similar to Google Trends, you can use these hot trends on Twitter to engage in and create conversations.

If you use Twist, here's a tip that works: write a blog post about what's hot on Twitter, put the 'hot' keyword in the title of the blog post. Make sure you optimize the hot keyword throughout the post, then tweet about the 'hot' keyword blog post. Successfully carrying this task out requires a well-thought out plan. Knowing what you intend to post to Twitter before you post it will increase your followers.

Here is a free download, The Twitter Report. Check it out, it's a good reference book. After you read the Twitter Report, get 19,530 followers in 30 days by visiting here.
